One of my favourite Northern Quarter activities is totally free and brilliant for children: touring the vibrant street art scene which has turned the whole area into a constantly evolving urban art gallery.

Here and there are the cute little space invader tiles, while the ends of buildings have become oversized canvases for beautiful and eye catching murals.

The art of Stevenson Square changes with the seasons while its possible to visit the alleged site of an authentic Banksy on an old brick-built utility hut in Tib Street.

Below you’ll find some of the latest additions to the art and soul of the Northern Quarter but move quickly if you want to see them as they change constantly.
