Robbie Williams, Etihad Stadium, Manchester – The Heavy Entertainment Show
Take That may still be Manchester’s favourite man band, but Robbie Williams will always have the edge when it comes to blokes you’d quite like to be.
He’s back after a break with a new album and his Etihad Stadium show is bound to be one of the Manchester musical highlights of 2017.

Elbow, Manchester 02 Apollo
Much as I love Elbow, there was a time not so long ago when I decided I’d seen too much of them.
But they they took a break – Guy Garvey got married and enjoyed a solo stint – and everyone panicked.
Thankfully, they’re back. A seventh studio album is underway at Salford’s Blueprint Studios and Manchester’s favourite singalong band will be playing a four-night residency at the Manchester Apollo in March.
Their new album, the first since the departure of drummer Richard Jupp, is set for release on February 3. Details are sketchy at the moment, with the cover above not really giving fans much to go on.
Not long to get to know all the words before the show then, but no doubt well worth the effort.
18, 19, 20, 21 March 2017
Tickets: £41.30 to £46.80 plus booking fee.
